25m3/h Waste Water Pumping System

25m3/h Waste Water Pumping System

Scope

Waste water systems are challenging, I found. Although pre-filtration takes out bigger particles, the water can still be dirty, which can affect the pump. When picking a pump, you need to think ahead and predict how dirty the water can become and how the pump will react to that.

I helped Think Water Marlborough with this waste water pump system that was added onto an existing system. Because the water in the tank needs to go to a sprinkler system, the pump had to provide pressure. This end-suction pump was able to provide that. To protect the impellers, we added a suction strainer with a large filter surface area, and to protect the pump from cavitation in case the strainer gets dirty, the electrician programmed the right safeties into the frequency controller.
